Dineen Coffee’s King West Expansion Set to Become Sixth Toronto Location

Construction hoarding has appeared for a new Dineen Coffee location at 200 King Street West, with prominent “Coming Soon” signage now visible in the building’s lobby. This marks the Toronto-based specialty coffee company’s sixth outpost in the city, expanding its footprint in the downtown core.

The temporary construction walls feature Dineen’s distinctive branding against a contrasting black and cream color scheme, positioned strategically near the main entrance of the 24-storey office tower at the corner of University Avenue and King Street West.

The new location will join Dineen’s existing portfolio of five cafés across Toronto, including their flagship heritage building at 140 Yonge Street, Commerce Court West Lobby (199 Bay Street), Dineen Outpost (1042 Gerrard Street East), CIBC Square (81 Bay Street), and York Mills (311 York Mills Road). The King West expansion reinforces Dineen’s strategic presence in major office towers and high-traffic business districts throughout the city.

This addition brings a premium coffee option to a critical intersection where the Financial and Entertainment Districts converge, serving the thousands of office workers in the building as well as visitors to nearby Roy Thomson Hall and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The location’s connectivity to St. Andrews subway station and the PATH network makes it particularly accessible for commuters seeking quality coffee options.

200 King Street West is managed by QuadReal Property Group, which oversees the 470,000 square foot BOMA BESt-certified building. The opening date for Dineen’s newest location has not yet been announced, but active construction suggests the café will be operational in the coming months.
