Structube Signage Appears at 28 Eastern Condos in Corktown

Canadian furniture chain prepares new location in Alterra's residential development

Signage for modern furniture retailer Structube has appeared at 28 Eastern condos in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, with a building permit issued in July 2025 for an overhanging sign structure. The Canadian chain is preparing to open a new location in the ground-floor retail space of Alterra Group’s 12-storey residential development at 28-32 Eastern Avenue.

Founded in 1974, Structube operates over 75 stores across Canada specializing in contemporary and modern home furnishings. The retailer currently has several Toronto locations including College Street, King Street West, Avenue Road, and The Well.

The 28 Eastern building, completed in 2025, houses 379 residential units above the retail space. The location positions Structube steps from the Distillery District and near the future Corktown subway station on the Ontario Line.

No opening date has been announced for the new Structube location.

CBRE has listed the property, with additional units available.
